How to install Safari 5 on Ubuntu 11.04

1.For this you need to install Wine because there is no Debian package or any other linux package is available for Ubuntu. So run Synaptic Package Manager by going to the Ubuntu Menu(top left Ubuntu logo)>>Synaptic Package Manager, and search for Wine.Mark it for installation and click on apply. This will download the relevant package and install the Wine.
2.Next thing, you have to download the Safari 5 for windows(*.exe file). And then run the following command in Terminal.
wine ~/Downloads/SafariSetup.exe
sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
This is a four step guide to get Apple’s Safari browser running on Linux.
  1. Run winecfg, set Windows version to WinXP.
  2. Copy the core windows fonts: #cp /usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/{Arial,Times_New_Roman}*.ttf ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts/
  3. Download Safari for Windows from the Apple homepage
  4. Run the Safari installer with Wine. Do not install Bonjour or the Apple updater
  5. Run Safari
